学校介绍：
Reading大学成立于1892年，1926年获得皇家委任状成为综合性大学。 这是一所中型规模的大学，全校共有学生12,000 多人，大部分的学生都住在大学的公寓或者宿舍里。Reading大学是英国的一流大学，在学校的43个科系中，许多学科在历次英国官方的教学与研究评估中都被评为5分或者5*，其中商科是全英国仅有的7个5分商科系之一。
Reading 拥有140,000人口，位于英国最繁荣的、充满发展机会的泰晤士河谷，在伦敦市中心以西40 英里，距离牛津30 英里。这里交通十分方便，有设施非常良好的公路和铁路交通联系英国各地，并且临近世界上最繁忙的机场——希思罗机场。这里紧邻魅力十足的泰晤士谷，Chiltern

一年制的大学预科课程为没有达到英国大学入学要求（A-level或者相当水平）而又以攻读学位目标的国际学生提供了进入Reading大学或者其他英国大学攻读学士学位的机会。该预科课程将在以下方面为你上大学做好准备：
· 进行相关的学术课程的训练和学习
· 提高英语水平和运用英语的能力

课程介绍：
下面表格的第一栏列出所有的学位课程，第二栏说明了你相应地需要学习的科目。
所有学生必须修满140个学分。下面告诉你这140个学分是如何构成的：
1. 三门 40个学分的课程（不包括英语） + 学习技巧课程 (20 个学分)
2. 两门 40 个学分的课程+ 一门20个学分的课程 +20个学分的英语课程 + 学习技巧课程
3. 两门 40 个学分的课程+ 20个学分的英语课程+学习技巧课程
所有学生都必须学20个学分的学习技巧课程，并且如果学生的英语低于规定要求，还将学习40或者20个学分的英语课程。
下面的表中所列课程可能不足120个学分，学生必须选择别的课程以达到120个学分，同时参加学习技巧课程（Academic Skills module）.

Reading大学的预科课程有哪些显著特色和优势？
该课程始于1985年，是英国最早开始的大学预科之一。 在过去的16年中，共有来自65个国家的1000多名学生参加了该课程，老师们当然熟知不同文化和教育背景的学生的需求。
主要表现有以下几个重要优势：
· 只要你成功完成预科课程，你将肯定可以在英国一流的Reading大学攻读学位，其他任何课程都不能保证这一点。

有关问题：
1. 我没有上完高中（或者中专）能上预科吗？
答案是不可以。你必须在完成高中（或者中专）学习以后才能开始预科的学习。
2. 我能在高中（或者中专）毕业前申请预科课程吗？
答案是可以的。学生可以在高中（或者中专）的最后一年提出申请。如果你还没有获得毕业证或者没有完成毕业考试，你将可能获得预科的有条件录取，这个条件就是你必须获得毕业证。
3. 在开始预科学习之前我必须参加雅思（IELTS）考试或者其他的英语考试吗？
是的。如果你的第一语言不是英语，在进入预科学习之前你应该达到合格的英语水平，否则将不能进入预科。如果没有IELTS或者TOEFL成绩，我们很难判断你的英语水平。当然，其他学历资格也是可以接受的，比如：FCE和GCSE

4. 在进入预科之前我可以在Reading大学学习英语吗？
当然可以。你可以申请Reading大学的语言课程或者申请其他专门的语言学校课程。 但是，你仍然需要参加IELT或者TOEFL考试或者大学的考试，视不同的课程而定IELTS要达到
5.0或者 5.5分，而且IELTS考试的每一部分不能低于5分。
5. 如果我学完英语课程，IELTS仍不能达到5.0或者 5.5,，我可以进入预科吗？
不能。你必须达到合格的语言水平。
6. 有没有申请的截止日期？
由于Reading大学的预科非常受欢迎，所以，建议尽早申请。学校可能很难为晚到的申请者提供机会。而且，早一些申请还可以为你赢得时间，以便于你最好准备申请签证及准备语言。当然，你可以在任何时候提交申请。
7. 我提交申请后多长时间可以获得答复？

8. 我能在1月或者4月进入预科吗？
不可以。预科一年只有一次开学时间，那就是10月初。
9. 我如果已经学了A-levels课程或者其他大学的预科，还可以申请Reading大学的预科吗？
我们通常不给这样的学生预科课程的录取。然而，也会个别考虑。
10.我怎样安排住宿？
大学将提供宿舍，不过你需要提出申请。金东方留学可以为你免费联系大学宿舍或者接待家庭住宿。
11. 大学会帮助我申请签证吗？
大学会为你出具相关的录取证明协助你签证。金东方留学将协助学生准备签证材料并提供签证面试培训以尽量确保你获得学生签证。
12. 我怎样支付学费？
在开学注册的第一周之内，你需要支付学费。具体细节将随录取通知书一并发出，金东方留学也将为你提供付费方式的建议。
13. 我可以申请奖学金以应付我的学费和生活费吗？
不可以。大学不为预科的学生提供奖学金。然而，在预科课程结束时，大学会为4名学习优秀的学生分别颁发￡1250的奖学金，该笔奖学金将从你上大学的第一学年的学费中扣除。
14. 在预科时我将学习哪些课程？
这将取决于你将来要攻读什么专业的学位。
15. 其他英国大学承认Reading大学的预科吗？
由于Reading大学的声誉和高质量，主要的英国大学都认可本校的预科。学生在完成本校的预科后可以申请其他大学的攻读学士学位。
